At the end of last year I was once again lucky enough to have my work selected for inclusion in the Ink-Dot exhibition. As with all previous shows the artists were asked to create work based on a theme word and with a specified limited range of colours. Additionally we were asked to use an oval template.
This time the theme word was Resolution.
I titled the piece ‘I Will Get There’
Last year I was lucky enough to have a piece of artwork exhibited in an Ink-Dot show. Ink-Dot features the work of many different designers and artists. Each Ink-Dot exhibition starts with a theme, in this case it was the word Tonic.
I started to think of an everyday tonic to life. As I used to live in the countryside but now live in Bristol I tend to think of parks as a welcome restbite from hectic city life. So that was my starting point. Below you’ll see my design progress from rough composition work to the final image.
