I got this postcard at the 1998 Vital! Animation Festival in Cardiff.
It features the work of Mark Baker and is designed to promote animation on Channel 4. On the back it says “Channel 4 is proud of its reputation as the founding broadcaster of innovative adult animation in the UK.”
I don’t think that’s as true now. What has happened to animation commissions on UK TV now days? It just doesn’t seem to happen. Perhaps it does and I’m just not seeing it. I miss the one off animation commissions that Channel 4 and the BBC used to produce.
