Not long after I started work at A Productions, or A for Animation as it was then called, we had a visit from the important people in the Channel Four animation department. Before they left I was encouraged to give them a copy of my graduation film. This is the letter I later received.
Hmm I was hoping for a letter more along the lines of…
“I really enjoyed your film. Please find enclosed a brown paper envelope stuffed with a very large development budget. Let us know how you get on.”
Apparently that’s not how the animation industry works.
